Portugal travel news: the Algarve chooses to remain positive!
Following the fantastic news that Portugal was removed from the UK restricted travel list, we were delighted to welcome tourists back to the Algarve. However, as new developments have unfolded, mainland Portugal finds itself without a UK travel corridor once more.
It is disappointing to say the least...we've always stood firm in our belief that the Algarve is one of the safest destinations for tourists during these uncertain times. We're not the only ones...businesses across the region are coming together to voice the exact same message.
That's why, we choose to remain positive. We are all in this together and with new developments every day, we're certain Portugal will reclaim the travel corridor it deserves.
Nothing has changed in the Algarve when it comes to our approach to the pandemic. We began the crisis with an 'all systems go' approach, with everyone doing their best to keep to the lockdown. Once we emerged from this, everyone worked tirelessly to ensure things were safe for tourists who chose to visit. Properties, bars, restaurants and many more businesses all had effective measures in place.
This approach will always continue. We are all working together to urge people to keep to the safety measures in place, both professionally and personally. If we all do this, we can welcome tourists back to the Algarve once again.
As we've said, we are all in this together!
