Who doesn't love a BBQ in the sunshine? Many of our Algarve villa rentals come equipped with a BBQ so that you and your family can whip up a beautiful feast!
Everyone has their own BBQ recipes and go-to accompaniments. However, we wanted to share some ideas to give you extra inspiration. From Portuguese dishes to vegetarian ideas, here are recipes guaranteed to tickle the taste buds.
Portuguese favourites
The Algarve is known for the fresh seafood on offer and many other Portuguese favourites. We've collected some recipes for you to plan ahead and add to your shopping list!
Portuguese Style Grilled Chicken: Otherwise known as Piri Piri chicken, this has become very popular thanks to a certain restaurant chain in the UK! However, it originated right here in Portugal. Grilled Portuguese Sardines: These tasty morsels are easy to do and really show why the Portuguese are seafood legends! Here is a quick recipe to follow.

Of course, you can't go wrong with classic burgers, sausages, potato salad and whatever else you fancy with your BBQ feast! The local supermarkets will not let you down when it comes to produce. We would recommend trying Chouriço, similar to Spanish Chorizo, or Linguiça if you are looking for an authentic Portuguese sausage.
